Who We Are
Wings of Faith (WOF) is a registered Non-Profit Company based in Soweto, South Africa. At the heart of our mission is the unwavering belief that every individual—regardless of background—deserves dignity, opportunity, and the tools to thrive.
South Africa faces deeply interconnected social issues: poverty, youth unemployment, substance abuse, gender-based violence, and crime. These challenges disproportionately affect youth, women, children, and incarcerated individuals—often trapping them in a vicious cycle of despair.
WOF was born out of a vision to break this cycle by empowering communities from within. We work with and for the people, igniting sustainable change through love, education, entrepreneurship, and support.

Why Our Work Matters
The Reality on the Ground
Over 60% of young people in South Africa are unemployed (Stats SA, 2023).
South Africa has only 1 (0.083%) doctor per 1,200 people, far below global standards, and public hospitals often lack essential resources.
More than 20 million South Africans experience food insecurity, with children under 5 being the most vulnerable.
South Africa’s prisons are operating at over 130% capacity, with an estimated 50%–70% of ex-offenders returning to prison due to a lack of support and reintegration opportunities.
South Africa has one of the highest rates of GBV in the world, with 1 in 3 women experiencing some form of abuse in their lifetime.
An estimated 15% of elderly South Africans live in poverty, often with little access to care or social support.
These statistics highlight the critical areas where Wings of Faith Focuses its efforts, aiming to bring about meaningful change in South African communities.
